The story follows the adventure of five intrepid individuals that come together to investigate the re-emergence of the Cult of the Serpent in the city of Sagemont. Each motivated by a different purpose, they follow the same goal to discover the motivations of the cult presence in Sagemont and to thwart their plans.

Introduction

The story starts in Sagemont, a large metropolis on the northern border of the country of Almeria where the adventurers are invited to the wedding reception of Chloe Rowen and Philip Stones. During the reception, they thwart an attempt to kidnap Chloe, leading to the adventurers beginning an investigation over the mysterious attackers and pursuers of Chloe.

Ioana as Sarya Fenlee, the noble half elf artificer
Teo as Wintson, the reclusive and aloof human ranger
Roxana as Elinor, the studious half-elf arcane trickster and rogue

Non Player Characters

Chloe Rowen, a prodigy wizard that is engaged to Philip Stones. She asks the adventurers for help in investigating the people that are following her.
Philip Stones, the son of a prestigious noble in the city of Sagemont. He is adventurous, brave, kind but a bit naive.
Grendar Ironkith, captain of the guard of the village of Ebendorf who is Chloe's adoptive father.
Madame Elara Mistral, the proprietor of Enchanted Chalice Tavern, the most famous locale in Sagemont.
Lord Thorian Stonehelm, the father of Philip Stones, a traditionalist noble living in the city.
Lady Althea Starhaven, a member of the cult, opposing the adventurers in their quest.

-The city was founded by a group of fishermen who settled near Auberveil Basin in the fifth century of the first age (around 1.800 years ago). Quickly growing due to its strategic location being at the crossroads of the main trading routes, the city affirmed their prominence during the rise and expansion of the Pailenid Empire 300 years later, becoming one of the main exporters and trading partners within the empire. The city during that time becoming the City of the Kings in the third century of the second age. After the fall of the Pailenid Empire in the year 613 of the second age, the city has asserted their independence becoming a metropolis during a golden age when the city attracted numerous investors and businesses that flew the conflict and war that followed empire’s fall.

It is ruled by the House of Rosenberg and the official city ruler is the Grand Duke Gilbert of Sagemont who lives along with the rest of his family in Brakenburgh Castle. The political power of the Grand Duke is put in balance with Berthold Starmantle, the High Priest of Selûne, who is loved by the people. Selûne is considered the protector of the city and has a Grand Temple of Selûne in the King’s Lane District. The two of them are in a power struggle for the dominance of the city.
