The basement of the tavern was actually a torture room where the cult was investigating and torturing its prisoners. At the ground level, secrets meetings of the cult seem to have been conducted regularly.
The tavern keeper was a tiefling woman called Brianna. The tavern music was assured by Lorelei the bard who was charming the visitors with her songs, trying to capture and interrogate them.
