The story follows the adventures of five intrepid individuals that come together to investigate the re-emergence of the Cult of the Serpent in the city of Sagemont. Each motivated by a different purpose, they follow the same goal to discover the motivations of the cult presence in Sagemont and to thwart their plans.
Introduction
The story starts in Sagemont, a large metropolis near the northern border of the country of Almeria where the adventurers are invited to the wedding reception of Chloe Rowen and Philip Stones. During the reception, they thwart an attempt to kidnap Chloe, leading to the adventurers beginning an investigation over the mysterious attackers and pursuers of the bride to be.

- Philip Stones, the son of a prestigious noble in the city of Sagemont. He is adventurous, brave, kind but a bit naive.
- Grendar Ironkith, captain of the guard of the village of Ebendorf who is Chloe's adoptive father.
- Madame Elara Mistral, the proprietor of Enchanted Chalice Tavern, the most famous locale in Sagemont.
- Lord Thorian Stonehelm, the father of Philip Stones, a traditionalist noble living in the city.
- Lady Althea Starheaven, a member of the cult, opposing the adventurers in their quest.
- Lord Elowen Starheaven, a leader of the cult.
Episodes
Episode I: A Reception of Deceit
The adventurers arrive at the wedding reception of Chloe Rowen and Philip Stones and surprise awaits them in the crowd among the mansion's servants. Suspecting some shady dealing in the estate, the group starts an investigation revealing a plot among the servants.
Episode II: The Doppelganger's Gambit
Ambushed by unknown attackers, the party fight their way to prevent Chloe's kidnapping, revealing a doppelganger's infiltration among the mansion's servants. Meanwhile, a new arrival, Sarya, deals with another ambush in the streets of Sagemont.
Episode III: The Tomb of Sir Kendac Godrisi
The party accompanies Chloe's adoptive father, Captain Grendar, to the temple to restore the paralyzed Philip and Dago where Chloe convinces the adventurers to investigate the catacombs beneath the temple. Delving into the catacombs, the group discovers that somebody beat them to the prize and escaped.
Episode IV: Spectral Trials
Investigating the newly discovered tomb, the party meets an ancient guardian that puts them to test who then charges the adventurers with an important quest.
Episode V: Pursuit of Elusive Truths
Escaping the tomb, the adventurers find out that Chloe has disappeared and her father, Grendar, asks them again for their help.
Episode VI: The Belly of the Gryphon
Trying to get to the bottom of Chloe's disappearance, the party investigates the basement of the Golden Gryphon Tavern where they are ambushed.
Episode VII: The Echoes of Torment
The party enters a torture room and battles the torturer and his aide, interrogating the prisoners to reveal an scary truth.
Episode VIII: Veils of Deception
The groups flees the basement of the Golden Gryphon Tavern with new information in tow and two unconscious people. As they make their way to the Enchanted Chalice Tavern they make a surprising discovery about its proprietor as they feel twice betrayed.
